Crafting

I always like sharing my recent crafting, so here's some of what I've done recently.

I was busy sewing swim diapers, so I haven't done a lot, but here's two things.

I saw this idea on Etsy to use one of your child's old clothes and incorporate it into something they can use. So I made Annamarie a kitty monster.

This is the outfit I used. One very tired Annamarie at 3 weeks old (and gosh, when did she get so big?! If she sits in that bouncer now her feet hang off. Sigh..)

Then I bought these plain Converse hightops from a local thrift shop. I love sparkles, so I decided to make them a bit fancier. They're a bigger size, so she'll wear them when she's walking and won't wear the sparkles off by crawling.

I've got lots more ideas to do, but I just need to find more hours in each day!

And my giveaway ends Friday, so be sure and enter if you haven't already!

What kind of glue did you use to add glitter to the shoes? I have a few pairs of Chucks that I think would suddenly be appealing to my six year old if they had a little glitter on them. Right now they're just sitting in her closet getting passed over day after day.

I just used a craft glue that dried clear, nothing fancy, so I'm not sure how well it holds up, but babies go through shoes so fast that they probably won't get worn out. When I was at the store I looked at glues and they do have some more durable ones meant for rhinestones, you could maybe try that, or just use regular craft glue and redo it if it starts wearing off.
